Microprocessor control regulates both heating and stirring functions. Temperature is adjusted in 0.1º C increments (up to 400º C), with a temperature stability of ±1%. Speed is adjusted in increments of 10 from 60 to 500rpm and in increments of 25 from 500 to 1600rpm, with a speed stability of ±2%.
LED displays for temperature, speed and time allow operator to view all settings at once. Shows set-point and actual temperature. Timer will display elapsed time or when programmed to user defined limit, will shut off unit when time reaches zero.
Caution hot top indicator is illuminated when heat is turned on and remains on until top plate cools down.
If unit exceeds set temperature by 10º C unit will automatically shut down.
Maximum temperature limiting ensures unit will never exceed users programmed set temperature limit.
If probe disengages from sample, unit will automatically shut off heater.
If stirrer motor stops or fails, unit will automatically shut down heater.
Ramping feature slowly increases speed for improved safety and enhanced coupling.
