The IPX-7900 series is a heavy-duty potentiometric rotary position sensor designed for steering systems and mobile applications under extreme environmental conditions. It features an anodized aluminum housing and a stainless steel shaft with double ball bearings, rated for shaft loads up to 300 N and operating torque up to 4 Ncm. Available in 120°, 200°, or 350° electrical ranges, it offers independent linearity better than ±0.2% and repeatability of 0.002%. The sensor operates from -40°C to +105°C, withstands vibration up to 5 g and shock up to 50 g, and exceeds 100 million mechanical movements. It is sealed to IP6K9K with cable output or IP67 with M12 connector output. Electrical features include a nominal resistance of 2 or 5 kΩ, max applied voltage of 42 V, and insulation resistance greater than 100 MΩ.
