NPN medium power transistors in an ultra-thin DFN2020D-3 (SOT1061D) leadless SMD package with side-wettable flanks and an exposed heat sink for improved thermal performance, rated for a collector-emitter voltage of 80 V and a continuous collector current of 1 A, with a peak collector current capability of 2 A. The device has three current gain selections, with the BC56-16PAST variant offering a DC current gain (hFE) of 100 to 250 at 150 mA. Total power dissipation is limited to 0.5 W on a standard FR4 PCB and up to 1 W with a 1 cm² collector pad. Junction temperature ranges from -55 °C to 150 °C, and the part meets IEC 60134 for limiting values. It is suitable for applications including linear voltage regulators, MOSFET drivers, high-side switches, and battery-powered devices.
