Newport MKS Nano Positioning Drive Module, Piezo-Stack XPS-DRVP1

Description
The XPS-DRVP1 is an XPS compatible driver card that can drive piezo-stack based NanoPositioning products, with model numbers that end with a '–D'. These NanoPositioners are differentiated with a 25 pin D-sub connector. Like most standard Newport stages, the connector has embedded ESP technology that facilitates setup by enabling XPS controller to recognize the attached stage. This provides the ability to control and drive the traditional micro-positioning stages and NanoPositioning stages with the one controller, the XPS. The XPS is a more flexible alternative to the NPC3 or NPC3SG controllers. Please note that the XPS-DRVP1 driver card does not fit in slot 1 on the XPS-D or XPS-RLD, use the other slots for this driver board. The XPS-DRVP1 can drive both open loop and closed loop NanoPositioning stages equipped with strain gage position sensor, with similar dynamic performance compared to the NPC3 controller.
