The SM-50 Vernier Micrometer is a standard drive for most Newport stages. The SM-50 has a 50 mm travel range and a 23 lb load capacity. The SM-50 has 0.5 mm pitch (50.8 TPI) threads and can be read directly in increments of 10 µm, with vernier reading of 1 µm.
