Newport MKS Goniometric Stage, Lower, ±5°, 40 x 40 x 20 mm, M3 & M6 M-GON40-L

Description
The M-GON40-L Lower Metric Goniometric Stage rotates an object about an axis, which is unobstructed by the stage itself, located over the center of the top platform. GON Series Goniometric Rotation Stages use an actuator-driven precision dovetail slide and are spring-loaded to reduce the backlash commonly found in similar worm-gear driven stages. The M-GON40-L Goniometric Stages has ±5° of rotational motion when used with a 13 mm travel actuator. The motion on goniometric stages can be securely locked using a hex screw on the side of the stage. Spherical Positioning Like-sized GON Series stages can be stacked. In a stacked configuration, the axes of rotation will intersect with each other allowing for rotation that is not restricted to a plane but is truly spherical. The motion on both goniometers can be securely locked using a hex screw on the side of the goniometer. Interchangeable Actuators GON Series Goniometric Rotation Stages utilize an actuator-driven rather than a worm screw-driven design to allow actuator interchangeability. This allows a variety of actuators such as adjustment screws, differential micrometers, or motorized actuators to be used with these stages. Shown is a TRA25 actuator motorizing a GON65-U goniometer. Compatible With Like Sized Stages The GON Series Goniometric Stages are compatible with RS Series Rotation Stages and DS Series Linear Stages of matching size (for example, GON40 with DS40, GON65 with DS65). They can be combined to provide multi-axis motion and can be easily adapted to fit a specific system's needs. A six-axis manual positioning system is shown using matched 65 x 65 mm stages.
