The F-MSC (Mfg. P/N: CF01493-14) Moderate Power Density Fiber features a pure silica 600 μm core and a hard clad silica 630 μm cladding, adding strength and increasing fatigue resistance. The fiber’s high NA of 0.37 allows greater light coupling efficiencies and allows for added bend insensitivity. This fiber is most suitable for use in the 500 to 1100 nm wavelength range and is limited to maximum power densities of about 100 kW/cm2. Newport's legacy F-MBD is identical to F-MSC. This bare fiber does not include a protective fiber jacket. Standard pricing is per meter. The following volume discount schedule is applied when ordering continuous lengths of optical fiber: 10 - 49 m: 15%, 50 - 99 m: 22%, 100 - 499 m: 25%, and ≥ 500 m: 28%.
