Newport MKS Picomotor Piezo Platform Mount, 3-Axis 8806

Description
The 8806 Picomotor Motorized Blank Plate Mount has five threaded 8-32 holes and four M4 holes so you can mount that unusual optic. This motorized version can be used horizontally as a low cost tip-tilt stage or vertically as a more traditional optic mount. The compact Picomotor housing adds only 0.75 in. to the overall thickness of this mount. This mount can be driven by our Open-Loop Picomotor Controller/Driver and requires an multi-axis adapter to connect to a controller. Platform Optical Mount Platform mounts have a flat, square, adjustable surface for mounting custom optics, prisms, and beamsplitter cubes. One benefit platform mounts have over aperture mounts is their ability to hold mirrors which are as large as or larger than the actual mount itself. Compact Design The compact Picomotor actuator housing adds only 0.75 in. (19.1 mm) to the overall thickness of the mounts, allowing these mounts to be located where needed on a crowded optical table or breadboard. 0.7 µrad Resolution Our Picomotor actuators allow for an angular resolution of 0.7 µrad, allowing for very small, controlled movements of your optics. The Picomotor actuator offers the additional advantage of using the integrated knobs for quick, manual adjustment of all axes. Set-and-Forget Long-Term Stability The Picomotor actuator moves when voltage is applied to the piezo, changing its length and in turn moving the jaws which turn the screw. When no power is applied, the actuator does not move. You can feel confident that your mount will stay put, even when you power down your system. Smooth and Reliable Motorized Adjustment Sapphire seats and optimized spring location and force provides for smooth, reliable motorized adjustment while maintaining a high level of thermal and mechanical stability. Easy-to-Use, Flexible Picomotor Controllers Our Open-Loop Picomotor controllers and drivers are modular. You can daisy-chain up to 31 drivers together with four channels each, so you can have a network of up to 124 standard Picomotor actuators. You have two interface options with the controller system: hand pad or computer, both providing plug-and-play use. Alternatively, you may choose to use our TTL/Analog Picomotor driver.

Platform Optical Mount

Platform mounts have a flat, square, adjustable surface for mounting custom optics, prisms, and beamsplitter cubes. One benefit platform mounts have over aperture mounts is their ability to hold mirrors which are as large as or larger than the actual mount itself.

Compact Design

The compact Picomotor actuator housing adds only 0.75 in. (19.1 mm) to the overall thickness of the mounts, allowing these mounts to be located where needed on a crowded optical table or breadboard.

0.7 µrad Resolution

Our Picomotor actuators allow for an angular resolution of 0.7 µrad, allowing for very small, controlled movements of your optics. The Picomotor actuator offers the additional advantage of using the integrated knobs for quick, manual adjustment of all axes.

Set-and-Forget Long-Term Stability

The Picomotor actuator moves when voltage is applied to the piezo, changing its length and in turn moving the jaws which turn the screw. When no power is applied, the actuator does not move. You can feel confident that your mount will stay put, even when you power down your system.

Smooth and Reliable Motorized Adjustment

Sapphire seats and optimized spring location and force provides for smooth, reliable motorized adjustment while maintaining a high level of thermal and mechanical stability.

Easy-to-Use, Flexible Picomotor Controllers

Our Open-Loop Picomotor controllers and drivers are modular.
