The MCP2562FD-H/MF is a high-speed CAN transceiver optimized for Flexible Data Rate (CAN FD) applications, supporting data rates of 2, 5, and 8 Mbps. It features a maximum propagation delay of 120 ns and guarantees loop delay symmetry of -10%/+10% at 2 Mbps, making it suitable for longer bus lengths. The device complies with ISO-11898-2 and ISO-11898-5 standards, ensuring robust performance in automotive environments. This transceiver operates with a very low standby current of 5 ¬µA and includes a VIO supply pin for direct interfacing with CAN controllers and microcontrollers operating at I/O voltages from 1.8V to 5.5V. It incorporates a SPLIT output pin for stabilizing common mode in biased split termination schemes and disconnects the CAN bus pins when unpowered, preventing bus loading during brown-out events. The MCP2562FD-H/MF also features permanent dominant detection on both the TXD and bus lines, power-on reset, voltage brown-out protection, and thermal shutdown protection. It is designed for use in 12V and 24V systems and offers high ESD protection on CANH and CANL, meeting IEC61000-4-2 standards up to ¬±14 kV.
