Inertial Labs, Inc. Sub-Miniature Orientation Sensor OS3D. OEM Version

Description
The OS3D.OEM is aboard level, fully embedded absolute orientation sensor that combines sensor technologies of magnetometers, gyroscopes, and accelerometers to measure absolute orientation of any object. Its internal microcontroller processes the data from nine discrete sensing axes through its sensor fusion algorithm and produces a quaternion orientation solution that is then provided over its standard RS-485 data bus. Designed with the intention of being integrated directly inside of the object to be tracked, OS3D.OEM is just 0.5in x 1.25in (12mm x 32mm). Additionally, its support of RS-485 allows for the possibility of utilizing multiple trackers simultaneously over a single data bus. Key Features and Functionality Real-time, zero latency 3DOF orientation tracking Compensated raw data for acceleration, rate of turn, and magnetic field Up to 500Hz data update rate Full temperature calibration of all sensing elements Internal magnetic disturbance calibration capabilities Dynamic magnetic disturbance compensation Customizable sensor parameters Ability to string sensors together Full featured software SDK PC-based emulator for replacing leading sensors in existing applications Extremely compact design
