Close Mesh Grating is manufactured by the same method as standard pressure locked grating, but with close bar spacings. It is one of the oldest designs of metal bar grating and installed as subway grating in most major U.S. cities. This versatile grating is available in a wide selection of styles; it provides a rigid, flush walking surface or an attractive vertical architectural screen or divider. The CM1 close mesh product has bearing bars spaced 7/16" on center and cross bars spaced 4" on center. Our closest spaced grating available. Excellent for pedestrian use where high visibility is a concern. Satisfies maximum 1/2" clear opening as required by ADA. Available in Steel, Aluminum, and Stainless Steel.
