The S3903-1024Q is a 1024-pixel NMOS linear image sensor with a pixel pitch of 25 µm and pixel height of 0.5 mm, designed for multichannel spectrophotometry. It features a quartz glass window, operates with maximum power consumption of 1 mW, and supports an operating temperature range of -40 to +65 °C. The sensor has a spectral response range of 200 to 1000 nm with peak sensitivity at 600 nm, photodiode dark current of up to 0.08 pA, and saturation output charge of 5 pC. The package length is 40.6 mm with 22 pins, and video line capacitance is up to 30 pF under 2 V bias. Clock and start pulse inputs are CMOS logic compatible, and the device includes a dummy video line for noise reduction.
Current output, high UV sensitivity, excellent linearity, low power consumption
NMOS linear image sensors are self-scanning photodiode arrays designed specifically as detectors for multichannel spectroscopy. The scanning circuit is made up of N-channel MOS transistors, operates at low power consumption and is easy to handle. Each photodiode has a large active area, high UV sensitivity yet very low noise, delivering a high S/N even at low light levels. NMOS linear image sensors also offer excellent output linearity and wide dynamic range. The photodiode of S3903-1024Q has a height of 0.5 mm and is arrayed at a spacing of 25 μm. Quartz glass is the standard window material.
