The S10227-10 is a resin-sealed CMOS linear image sensor designed for compact applications such as barcode readers and miniature spectrometers. It features a surface mount package measuring 4.4 × 9.1 × 1.6 mm with a 512-pixel array, 12.5 µm pixel pitch, and 250 µm pixel height. The sensor operates on a single 5 V power supply with a maximum video data rate of 5 MHz and a spectral response range of 400 to 1000 nm. Built-in timing generator allows operation with just Start and Clock pulse inputs. The operating temperature range is -40 to +85 °C, and it supports reflow soldering per IPC/JEDEC J-STD-020 MSL2a. The output video signal requires a buffer amplifier for impedance matching.
