This resin has a density of 0.928 g/cm¬= and a melt index of 0.50 g/10 min at 190¬8C under a 2.16 kg load, indicating its processing characteristics. The product features a vinyl acetate content of 7.5 wt%, with a peak melting temperature of 212¬8F (100¬8C) and a Vicat softening temperature of 176¬8F (80¬8C). It exhibits significant tensile strength, with values of 1400 psi (9.8 MPa) in the machine direction (MD) and 940 psi (6.5 MPa) in the transverse direction (TD) at yield. The elongation at break is notably high, reaching 200% in MD and 620% in TD, which suggests good flexibility and durability. Film properties include a dart drop impact resistance of 360 g and tear strengths of 190 g (MD) and 60 g (TD). The optical properties show a gloss of 52 and a haze of 9.4%. The product is available in pellet form and is suitable for applications such as stretch hoods.
