Exceed,Ñ¢ 2018MA is a metallocene polyethylene copolymer composed of ethylene and 1-hexene, designed for high-performance film applications. It exhibits excellent tensile and impact strength, making it suitable for demanding packaging needs. The polymer has a higher melt index, which facilitates blending with low-density polyethylene (LDPE) films. Typical properties include a density of 0.918 g/cm¬=, a melt index of 2.0 g/10 min, and a peak melting temperature of 243¬8F (117¬8C). The film produced from this resin demonstrates significant tensile strength, with values of 1300 psi in both machine direction (MD) and transverse direction (TD) at yield, and up to 8600 psi at break in MD. Elongation at break is notably high, reaching 590% in MD and 690% in TD, indicating good flexibility. Exceed,Ñ¢ 2018MA is suitable for various applications, including food packaging, heavy-duty bags, and multilayer films. It is available in pellet form and can be processed using standard blown film techniques. The product does not contain intentionally added Tris(nonylphenol)phosphite (TNPP) and is not intended for medical applications.
