The CSM-8M is a surface mount crystal for PCMIA Ethernet applications, in a 7.0 x 5.0 mm seam-welded metal lid/ceramic package. It operates from 6.000 to 42.000 MHz with fundamental mode, a shunt capacitance of 5 pF, and a maximum drive level of 100 μW. Frequency tolerance at +25°C is ±30 ppm; stability over -10°C to +70°C is ±50 ppm. ESR is 70 Ω max for 6-7.999 MHz, 60 Ω for 8-15.999 MHz, and 40 Ω for 16-42 MHz. Load capacitance is specified in the part number. It is RoHS compliant, has MSL 1, gold lead finish, and operates from -10°C to +70°C with storage from -55°C to +125°C. Aging is ±5 ppm over the first year at +25°C. Pins 1 and 3 are interchangeable for input/output; pins 2 and 4 are ground.
