A 1B 4MYK08020 is a straight-tooth miter gear with 0.8 module and 20 teeth, made of brass, designed to transmit rotational motion at a 90° angle. It has a pitch diameter of 20 mm, a bore diameter of 5 mm with H8 tolerance, a face width of 12 mm, and an overall length of 16 mm. The gear includes a hub projection of 6 mm and a set screw hole for M4 fasteners. It is sold individually, not in matched sets.
Standard straight-tooth miter gears are a type of bevel gear set that has a 1:1 ratio, identical dimensions, and the same number of teeth, allowing them to mate with one another and transmit rotational motion at a 90° angle. Although the number of teeth in a spiral miter gear set is the same, the twisting directions are different, preventing them from mating with one another. Our straight-tooth miter gears are manufactured utilizing a CNC Coniflex® interlocking cutting system. Spiral miter gears must be paired with one right-hand thread and one left-hand thread.
