The WM8768 is a multi-channel audio digital/analog converter (DAC) featuring four stereo, multi-bit Delta Sigma DACs with oversampling digital interpolation filters. The WM8768 supports data input from 16 to 32-bits and sampling rates from 8 kHz to 192 kHz. Each DAC channel has independent digital volume and mute control and the audio data interface supports I²S, left justified, right justified and DSP digital audio formats. Control is by either a 3-wire serial interface or directly using the hardware interface that provide access to channel selection, volume controls, mutes, de-emphasis and power management facilities.
Features
Three-wire SPI serial or hardware control interface
Programmable audio data interface modes
Data formats: I²S, left or right justified, DSP
Four independent stereo DAC outputs with independent digital volume controls
Master or slave audio data interface
