The model 290T is a family of mill duty industrial-grade optical incremental encoders developed to provide rugged thru-shaft drive for additional add-on components such as resolvers, mechanical overspeed switches, etc.
The 290T series uses the same solid state LED codewheel illumination as other CCI pulse tachometers. Read-head electronics are on a single chip of silicon which is encapsulated for extremely long life.
Electrical characteristics conform to standard CCI specifications (see General Pulse Tachometer Specifications)
All mounting options are shown on Mounting Options Product page. These are available along with foot mounts to replace a BC46 or an Avtron M785. All foot mounted devices maintain the CCI feature of a "one-time" unit alignment. The piloted tachometer body separates from the foot-mount bracket for rapid change-out.
