The CNR2 features a unique design with separate outputs for short-wave (solar) and long-wave (atmospheric and terrestrial) radiation. The CNR2 fits in the Kipp & Zonen product line between the single output NR-LITE and the four-component CNR1. The glass domes and silicon windows protect the thermopile detectors from environmental factors, minimize the effects of wind and rain on measurements, and are easy to clean.
