3M,Ñ¢ Scotch-Weld,Ñ¢ Structural Adhesive Primer EC-3960 is a sprayable primer designed to inhibit corrosion and enhance the durability of adhesive bonds. It is suitable for use with 3M,Ñ¢ Scotch-Weld,Ñ¢ Bonding Films and provides protection against corrosive environments both inside and outside the bondline. The primer is formulated with an epoxy resin base and has a low solids content of 10.5% by weight. It is characterized by a yellow color and a thin liquid consistency, with a flash point of 6¬8F. For optimal performance, surfaces must be thoroughly cleaned and prepared prior to application. The primer can be co-cured with adhesives at temperatures of 250¬8F or 350¬8F, and when cured at 250¬8F, it offers solvent resistance. The product is designed for high transfer efficiency, minimizing overspray waste. It is recommended to store the primer at 0¬8F or lower, with a standard shelf life of six months from the date of shipment.
