The ZBA BT44-147 is a Bluetooth Module based on CSR\'s Bluecore 4 chip. The BT44-147 has been designed to be embedded into a variety of end user equipment including medical devices, industrial data communication equipment and automotive applications. It supports a fully compliant Bluetooth system for data and voice communications. The module interfaces with a host via the UART (USB optional) and supports EDR data rate up to 3Mbps modulation modes. The module and device firmware are fully compliant with the Bluetooth specification V2.0. This module is especially desireable when the enclosure of the equipment is constructed of metal or ferrous material, thus requiring the use of an external antenna. The BT44-147 has a 50 ohm output and can drive essentially all antennae designed for 2.4 GHz operation.
The BT44-147 is a Class 2 Bluetooth module thet has a range of up to 30 microcode are stored. The flash memory can be upgraded via the UART. The module can support different Bluetooth profiles although the most popular profile for data transfer is the Serial Port Profile (SPP).
The dimensions of the module are 27.0 x 14.5 x 2.0 mm. The module is a 36 pin leadless device with pin connections on both sides of the module.
