Screw Terminal Strip, 300 Series, 300 V Voltage Rating Series 300 terminal strips are used for connecting stripped, unterminated, solid or stranded copper wires, ranging from 6 to 26 AWG depending on the product selected. Each strip has 12 circuits and can be easily cut to the required number of poles. Mounting holes are provided between each circuit. Captive screws are backed out and ready for wiring. Each circuit has a wire protector to prevent damage to the wire from the turning screw. All metal parts are completely recessed in the flexible polyamide moulding. This dead front design ensures safety and prevents short circuiting. The -FU designation provides a higher profile and therefore higher creepage distance to meet certain VDE design requirements. Specifications . Insulating Material: Polyamide, self extinguishing to UL 94, V-0 or V-2, natural. Temperature Limits: Short time — 140°C/284°F; Continuous — RTI 105°C/221°F; Low Limit — –40°C/–40°F. Comparative Tracking Index: CTI >600. Oxygen Index Rating: 25% (33% for Types 326 and 327). Approvals : UL File E69841. CSA File LR24322. Due to high resistance to vibrations, these terminal strips serve in applications using line voltage motors or in construction vehicle. Terminal strips are also used in Heating⁄ventilation⁄ air conditioning (HVAC) products.
