The Lead Free* FloodSafe¬Æ Water Detector Shutoff (part number 0301015) from Watts is designed for both residential and commercial applications to prevent water damage from leaking water heaters. This device features an electronically actuated shutoff valve that automatically closes the water supply and power to the water heater upon detecting water on the floor or in a drain pan. The valve is constructed from Lead Free* materials, complying with regulations for reduced lead content. The FloodSafe¬Æ system includes a water detector pad that utilizes advanced sensing technology, ensuring reliable operation without corrosion issues. It is equipped with a control unit that provides visual and audible alarms, as well as contacts for integration with remote alarm systems. The unit is compatible with standard 3/4" and 1" water supply lines and can be installed on both new and existing water heaters without requiring special piping. The maximum pressure rating for the valve is 150 psi, and it can handle temperatures up to 210¬8F. The device operates on a low-voltage power supply connected to a standard 120 VAC outlet. Series WDS FloodSafe® Water Detector Shutoff protects the homeowner from catastrophic damage due to the water heater leaking. The FloodSafe® will detect the presence of water on the floor beneath the water heater and will automatically shutoff the water supply and power source to the water heater.
