GENIOSIL® XT 55 is a silicon reinforced polyetherbasedsilane -terminated polymer suitable as a binderin moisture curing formulations. It is a clear liquid witha slight but characteristic odor and differs toconventional silylated polymers due to its highreactivity. This is a direct consequence of thetrimethoxysilyl group attached to the organicbackbone. It hydrolyzes in the presence of moisture tofinally form a stable siloxane network initiated by heavymetal or strong amine catalysis.
