Electro-Voice The XLC127DVX is the new main component used to create an XLC line array featuring EV's latest DVX woofers. An XLC array can use a minimum of four cabinets, and a reasonable array uses six to eight boxes, with a maximum of 16 used for larger arenas. The three-way, axis-asymmetric design includes a single DVX3121 12-inch low-frequency, mid-bass woofer; the mid-frequency bandpass is comprised of two 6.5-inch, horn-loaded DVN2065 woofers in a vertical array. The XLC127DVX uses two ND6 (three-inch voice-coil) neodymium compression drivers loaded on two Hydra™ plane wave generators. With a horizontal coverage of 120 degrees, the XLC system accurately covers wide areas while maintaining excellent imaging and lobe-free coverage. The XLC127DVX is designed for triamp operation. To allow for biamp operation, an internal x-over for mid-bass and high frequencies is available as an accessory.The Xlci127DVX version is designed for permanent installation applications, with specially designed mounting hardware for easy, cost-effective hanging.
