Visual Sound, Inc. V-Systems Loudspeaker Systems V 24-60 P

Description
Dynacord Dynacord's V24-60 P is a medium to long-throw coaxial mid/hi-cabinet. The recommended active crossover frequency to Low cabinets (e.g. V17PWH, COBRAPWH) is 124Hz, 24dB/Oct. Linkwitz-Riley. For the mid-frequencies between 100Hz and 1200Hz two Electro-Voice Neodymium transducers ND12A are used. The transducers are loaded by a short conical horn for increased efficiency and well defined polar characteristics. The 2" Electro-Voice Neodymium ND6-8 driver loaded by an Electro-Voice Constant Directivity horn HP64 is used for the reproduction of the high frequencies above 1200Hz. The V24-60P is equipped with an internal passive crossover network. The crossover network can be internally bypassed for fully active operation using external speaker controllers, e.g. Dynacord's DSP244. The V24-60P is equipped with an electronic circuit called VOICE COIL TRACKING PROTECTION. This circuit senses the terminal voltage of the transducers and simulates the thermal behaviour of the transducer voice coils. In case of potential thermal overload the power applied to the speakers is reduced to a safe level. Power amps up to 1200W/8Ohms can be used in order to have maximum dynamic range without the danger of thermal overload in non-controlled situations. The VOICE COIL TRACKING PROTECTION exhibits "soft" switching characteristics, so no annoying clicks or pops are audible. The circuitry automatically resets after the voice coil temperatures have reached a safe value. The V24-60P cabinet is made of 18mm birch plywood. All corner joints and braces are grooved and glued. The cabinet surface is coated with an extremely resistant and slip retardant structure varnish. A powder coated steel grille and a lockable cover protects the V24-60P against damage during transport and bad environmental conditions. The connector panel uses two 8-pole Speakon connectors (IN/OUT) for a safe connection and easy daisy-chaining to the next cabinet. Thin pin assignment is 2+/2-. All other pins are wired through. 4 large-sized ABS feet (in the accessories pack) can be mounted recessed at the bottom of the cabinet and allow safe stacking. 8 handle trays and four castors at the rear side guarantee easy and safe transport Four recessed ANCRA rigging tracks and two webbing-strap points can be used for easy "flying" of the V24-60P. MAN fittings are available as an option (RK-3, 112675).
