The Sound Advance® SM516 is an extended bandwidth, wide-dispersion loudspeaker designed for a variety of outdoor and indoor commercial/professio
nal installations. The SM516's 5¼" polypropylene cone woofer and 5/8" polycarbonate dome tweeter ensure superior-quality sound in foreground music, public address and paging applications. The SM516's 90-degree dispersion is extremely consistent throughout its operating bandwidth (see polar response graphs on page 2), allowing fewer speakers to deliver quality sound over large areas. The SM516 comes with a C-shaped mounting bracket that allows the speaker to be installed in a wide variety of locations. Adjustable bracket knobs allow the installer to direct the speaker's output where needed. Connection is made via a barrier strip terminal with loop-thru. The SM516 is transformer-coupled, with 16W, 8W, 4W 2W taps for both 70V and 100V operation, and 8-ohm bypass. The SM516 has a rugged, weather-resistant ABS enclosure and baffle that meet UL94V-0 fire rating standards and a paintable perforated aluminum grille, and is available on black (SM516B) and white (SM516W).
