Ashly Audio, Inc. The neWR-5 is a programmable Ethernet based remote control unit for Ashly NE Series products. The neWR-5 is powered via POE or a local wall-wart power supply. The POE injector is not included. Remote control your system from any location. The neWR-5 & WR-5 wall remote controls fit in standard wall boxes. White faceplates can be covered with a standard Decora™ plate (not included). Both devices have two Up/Down buttons for volume level, preset selection, etc. A two-character alphanumeric display provides a visual indication that the desired changes have been accepted by the system. Six programmable function select buttons with LEDs can each be programmed for one of the following functions: Preset Recall - Immediately recall an assigned preset. Preset Scroll - Allows user to select any of the allowed presets via the up/down arrow button shown by the alphanumerical display. Gain Control - Allows volume control of assigned inputs/matrix mix/outputs. Channel Mute - Allows mute control of assigned inputs/outputs. Zone Source Selection - Allows for on/off control of assigned inputs, but only for a specific output. Logic High or Low for the ne24.24M processor The neWR-5 is a programmable Ethernet based remote control unit for Ashly NE Series products. Connecting and powering the neWR-5 is done using standard Cat-5 Ethernet cable and an IEEE 802.3af Power over Ethernet (PoE) switch or inline injector (purchased separately). If PoE is not available, a 15-48VDC power supply can be hardwired directly to each unit (2 watts needed per unit). A contact-closure or key-switch can be used to engage a Lock-Out feature on the neWR-5 to disable all buttons. Cable length between devices can be over 3000ft (1000m). The WR-5 is a programmable remote control unit for Ashly NE Series products using a four-conductor serial bus. Up to four WR-5 units can be daisy-chained and powered from the host product. More WR-5 units can be added by using an Ashly RPS-18 inline power supply adapter. The RD-8C can not be used with the WR-5. Cable length between devices can be up to 1000ft (304m).
