Lectrosonics, Inc.
Lightweight, miniature, watertight transmitter featuring Digital Hybrid Wireless technology. Operates on single AA battery. 100 mW output.
Digital Hybrid Wireless is a revolutionary new design that combines 24-bit digital audio with an analog FM radio link to provide outstanding audio quality and the extended operating range of the best analog wireless systems. The design overcomes channel noise in a dramatically new way, digitally encoding the audio bitstream in the transmitter and decoding it in the receiver, yet sending the encoded information via an analog FM wireless link. This proprietary DSP algorithm eliminates a compandor circuit and its artifacts, and preserves the RF spectral footprint of analog FM designs to simplify multichannel coordination with existing analog wireless systems. The MM400B is powered by a single AA battery, with internal switching power supplies providing constant voltages to the transmitter circuits from the beginning (1.5 volts) to the end (0.85 volts) of battery life. The 100 mW output with an RF circulator/isolator in the output stage provides excellent operating range and multichannel performance. The 4.5 hour battery life (lithium) is comparable to standard transmitter models operating on 9 V batteries. The MM400B mechanical design provides an ultra-lightweight, watertight housing machined from a solid aluminum block. The housing is finished with a superhard, nickel plating to provide the ruggedness needed for extreme environments. The transmitter is ideal for hostile and wet environments and for special costuming requirements.
Waterproof Power/Mute switch
Water resistant, rugged, machined aluminum housing with noncorrosive, superhard finish
Digital Hybrid Wireless system
256 synthesized UHF frequencies
100 mW output power
Dual bicolor Modulation LEDs for accurate gain adjustment
DSP based pilot-tone signal eliminates squelch problems
Backward compatible to earlier technologies
