Lowell Manufacturing Company LT (music/paging): patented speaker system (U.S. patent no's. 7,120,269; D467579; 7,643,647-B2) is designed for fast installation in suspended tile ceilings. Two sizes: 1'x2' assembly replaces half of a non-tegular 2'x2' tile or one-fourth of a 2'x4' tile; 2' x 2' assembly replaces a standard or tegular 2'x2' tile. Assembly ships ready-to-install with speaker leads that exit through a 0.5" Romex clamp for easy field connections. Assembly is supported by T-bar grid and, where required by code, can also be secured to ceiling grid with seismic clamps or cables (not included). System includes factory-wired speaker mounted to a 1'x2' or 2'x2' subplate with grille, and backbox. Some models include a transformer. Performance: systems with CT830-driver/8XD4-ba ckbox combination are suitable for music performance applications (lounges, lobbies, etc.). Systems with 805 or 810 speaker (with or without backbox) are for commercial paging and background music.
