Visual Sound, Inc. Digital Graphics Engine w/HDMI® and DigitalMedia 8G™ STP Connectivity DGE-2-C

Description
Crestron Electronics, Inc. Designed for use with Crestron® V-Panel™ and other touch screen displays[1,2], the DGE-2-C Digital Graphics Engine allows for a very streamlined touchpanel installation by placing the bulk of the electronics at the central equipment location. Mounted within an equipment rack, the DGE-2-C connects directly to the head end AV sources, switchers, and control network, while the touch screen display can be up to 330 feet away with just a single cable between them[3]. The DGE-2-C delivers the latest in high-definition touchpanel technology powered by our groundbreaking Core 3 UI. Features include 24-bit graphics, dual-window HD video and computer display, HDCP support, embedded PC applications and Web browsing, streaming video and audio, IP Intercom, and real-time annotation, all cohesively merged into one seamless user interface through the Crestron Core 3 framework. Connectivity includes (2) HDMI® inputs, (2) RGB/VGA inputs, (2) multi-format video inputs, balanced stereo audio in/out, Crestron Home® CAT5 Balanced Audio, HDMI and DigitalMedia 8G™ STP outputs, Cresnet®, and high-speed Ethernet. Powered by Core 3 [Available Q2 2011] The Crestron Core 3 framework enables the generation of dynamically rich user interfaces with greater power and ease than ever. Core 3 lets touchpanel designers merge multiple objects and apps on screen leveraging the power of Adobe® Flash®, multi-format video, Web browsing, IP intercom, and other technologies to deliver an engaging and ultra-intuitive touchpanel experience. Use gestures navigation to effortlessly browse through music and movie libraries, scroll through TV channels and radio stations, and select any desired control app from an intuitive menu of colorful 3D icons. Personalize the touchpanel desktop with animated clocks, calendars, weather widgets, news feeds, and other informative objects. Even apply themes and backgrounds that change on the fly with each user, event, or season. But, the power of Core 3 extends beyond impressive graphics and animated objects, unleashing tremendous new capabilities for controlling devices and managing a complete integrated system. Using the Core 3 SDK, programmers can develop fully functioning "device apps" that can be dropped into each touchpanel project without additional programming or resizing. Or, choose from an expanding library of fully developed device apps to instantly add controls for security systems and HVAC, provide sophisticated navigation for media servers and tuners, and enable user-friendly editing of lighting scenes and channel presets. With Core 3, the possibilities are virtually limitless. Embedded PC The DGE-2-C's embedded PC engine combines rock solid touchpanel graphics performance with b Touchpanel graphics and HD video processing for V-Panels™ Installs out-of-sight at the central equipment location Eliminates bulky, unsightly wiring at the V-Panel location Connects to the V-Panel via a single DigitalMedia 8G™ STP cable[2,3] Also compatible with third-party touchscreens[2] High-definition 24-bit graphics powered by Core 3 WAV file customizable audio feedback Multi-format streaming video and audio Dual-window full-motion HD video Allows viewing HDCP protected content Handles HDTV sources up to 1080p60 Handles high-res computer RGB up to UXGA/WUXGA Includes HDMI, RGB, composite, S-Video, and component video inputs Supports 2-way intercom over IP or Crestron Home® wiring Embedded PC applications enable native Web browsing, playing or streaming digital media, viewing digital documents, and accessing and controlling external computers Presentation output enables sharing on-screen content with an audience Built-in annotation enhances presentation capabilities Supports interactive annotation amongst multiple touchpanels DigitalMedia 8G connectivity affords versatile system configuration[2] Can power a DM 8G STP receiver over the DM connection[5] HDMI output allows direct connection to a third-party display or touch screen[2] Supports multiple touchscreens for multi-participant applications[2] Includes USB keyboard/mouse ports plus onscreen keyboard and mouse capability Includes balanced analog audio input and output High-Speed Ethernet and Cresnet® Two space rack-mountable
