The C5 WL/1 is a modular cardioid condenser microphone capsule for use with AKG HT 4000 and HT 4500 wireless systems. At its heart, the C5 WL/1 utilizes the classic small-diaphragm AKG condenser design. The capsule is encapsulated in 24-carat gold to ensure that moisture and humidity problems don't affect its performance. The capsule comes with AKG's PB1000 presence boost adapter factory-installed. The PB1000 adds extra presence to the sound with added emphasis in the 5,000 - 9,000 Hz range. If this added presence isn't required, the PB1000 can be simply removed. It can be reinstalled quickly and easily. The C5 WL/1 delivers beautifully-detailed sound quality and excellent pattern control to deliver good gain-before-feedback
