AKG Acoustics, U.S.
The C 568B is a compact-sized, short shotgun microphone with an integrated bass roll-off switch. High directivity and wide frequency response in a relatively short package makes this an ideal microphone for theater, sound reinforcement, and for film/video recording. Due to its compact and lightweight design, the C 568B is ideal for camera-mount applications. The C 568 B is an electret condenser design which operates on both pressure gradient and interference tube principles to deliver excellent reponse and superb pattern control. Below 500 Hz, it functions as a hypercardioid microphone; above 500 Hz, the acoustic interference tube increases its directivity for extremely accurate pickup of distant sounds with high off-axis rejection. Features include a switchable 150 Hz, 12-dB-per-octave bass roll-off switch. Comes complete with foam windscreen and stand adapter.
