The HUBDISK-2 is a 2-inch transmissive rotary codewheel designed for use with optical encoders. It features an outside diameter of 2 inches and is constructed from 0.007-inch thick Mylar polyester film, allowing for operation within a temperature range of -40¬8C to 100¬8C. The codewheel supports a cycles per revolution (CPR) range from 64 to 10,000, translating to a pulse per revolution (PPR) range of 256 to 40,000. The assembly includes a precision machined aluminum hub that can accommodate bore sizes from 2 mm to 1 inch, secured to a shaft using one or two set screws, depending on the bore size. The product adheres to strict tolerances as outlined in US Digital's Technical Bulletin TB1001.
HUBDISK-2 consists of a precision machined aluminum hub fastened to a 2" diameter optical encoder disk (DISK-2). One or two set screws (depending on the hub's ID) are used to fasten the hub to a shaft. The codewheel is available with bore sizes ranging from 2 mm to 1 inch. All hub bores are held to a very tight tolerance and are defined by US Digital Technical Bulletin, Shaft and Bore Tolerances TB1001. The nominal disk thickness is 0.007" and the operating temperature range is -40C to 100C.
