Union Semiconductor, Inc. Voltage Regulators - Linear UM1770Y-XX

The UM1770Y-XX is a very low dropout (VLDO) linear voltage regulator designed for low power portable applications, capable of delivering up to 500mA. It features a maximum dropout voltage of 320mV at full load and operates with a quiescent current of only 250OºA. The device offers high output voltage accuracy of ±2% and low output noise, with typical values of 90OºV_RMS for fixed output at 1.0V. It supports a wide input voltage range up to 6.0V and is stable with output capacitors as low as 1OºF. The UM1770Y-XX series includes fixed output voltage options ranging from 1.0V to 4.0V in 0.1V increments, as well as an adjustable output version that can be set between 1.0V and 5.0V. Additional features include fast transient response, under voltage lockout, short-circuit protection, and thermal overload protection. The product is available in a compact SOT89-5 package, making it suitable for space-constrained designs in applications such as Bluetooth devices, PDAs, notebook computers, portable instruments, and cellular phones.
