This 7 gallon polypropylene tank has nominal interior dimensions of 12"L X 12"W X 12"H and a wall thickness of 3/16". Open top polypropylene tanks have good chemical and stress crack resistance and are great for plating lines and many other chemical applications. These tanks are made of a resin that meets FDA 21 CFR 177.1520 and USP Class VI. The maximum service temperature for these tanks is 220F and the brittleness temperature is 32F. Tanks are rated for use with 1.8 specific gravity media. If a fiberglass casing is used, the rating goes up to 2.2. Casings provide structural support and prevent bulging at the bottom of the tank. Casings are required for use with media having a specific gravity greater than 1.8, or for use at prolonged elevated temperatures.
