For UV resistance of PVC pipe and fittings, paint with a white water based latex paint. Service temperature 33F - 140F. Not for use with compressed air or gasses. Resists chemical attack by most acids, alkalies, salts, fungi and bacterial action. Non-toxic, odorless and tasteless. Resistant to cracking so it is machinable. SCH40 socket fittings ASTM D-2466; SCH80 socket fittings ASTM D-2467; SCH80 threaded fittings ASTM D-2464. Pipe ASTM D-1785. PSI is based on water at 73F. Derate 50% at 110F and 78% at 140F. Schedule 40 is for socket fittings only; threading is not a recommended practice. Schedule 80 pipe can be threaded. NSF 61 listed. Schedule 40 pipe is dual marked as DWV. Sch 40 white and Sch 80 gray sizes 1/4, 3/8 & 14 - 24 are CSA approved. 1/2" - 12" are not CSA approved. 1/4" - 6" pipe is price per foot, sold in 5' or 10' intervals only. 8" - 24" is price per foot and sold in 10' intervals only. Schedule 40 gray and white pipe 10" and larger are non-returnable. Schedule 80 pipe 8" and larger are non-returnable.
