Protect piping system components from damage caused by dirt or debris in the process media. The flow through a Y-Strainer passes through a standard 1/32" perforated screen. This screen entraps particles larger than the screen perforations while allowing the balance of the process media to flow freely. The screens are ultrasonically welded for superior strength. Strainers work equally well in the horizontal or vertical position, simplifying piping system layout. A sturdy hex shaped cap permits quick, easy removal of the strainer screen when clean-out becomes necessary. FKM seats; FPM seals. True union design, for regular valves & strainers too, makes the valves very easy to maintain by allowing for easy removal from a piping system without breaking down the piping connections. Just unscrew the assembly nuts and lift the valve body out of the line. Clear PVC 1/2" - 2" available by special order.
