Check valves are used to prevent the reversal of flow in a line. When open and under flow pressure, the checking mechanism will move freely in the media, offering very little resistance and minimal pressure drop. Valve employs a free moving ball, which unseats to permit flow in one direction, but seals against a seat to prevent backflow. Can be installed vertically or horizontally. Uniseat/seal of The Y-pattern style has a minimal pressure-drop, even when compared with a conventional upright style globe valve. Therefore, it is anexcellent choice for combination on-off and throttling applications. Stub acme thread on stem provides rapid open-close operation. Liquid or slurry never touches stem threads. Can be used for both on-off and throttling control of fluid flow. Easy in-line maintenance. For throttling service. PTFE sealing disc and seals. FKM O-ring seals. Threaded ends, NSF listed. Ball is the only moving part. It unseats to permit flow in one direction but seals against seat to prevent backflow. Minimum shut-off of 5 psi. All sizes rated for full vacuum service. Solid thermoplastic ball. NSF-61 Certified.
