The XC2100A-03S is a 3 dB hybrid coupler designed for RF applications, specifically within the frequency range of 2000 to 2300 MHz. It is suitable for use in UMTS and other 3G systems, making it ideal for balanced power amplifiers and signal distribution where low insertion loss and precise amplitude and phase balance are critical. The coupler can handle high power levels up to 145 Watts and features a very low insertion loss of 0.12 dB to 0.15 dB across its operating frequency range. The device offers high isolation, with a minimum isolation of 23 dB at 2000-2300 MHz and 25 dB at 2110-2170 MHz. It is packaged in a surface mount format that is production-friendly, available in both lead-free and tin-lead finishes. The XC2100A-03S is designed for reliable performance with a failure in time (FIT) rate of 0.53, and it is compatible with common substrates such as FR4 and RO4350. The coupler is also available on tape and reel for automated manufacturing processes.
