The OPL530, OPL531, OPL535, OPL536, OPL550, OPL551, OPL560, OPL561, OPL562, and OPL563 series of Photologic® Sensors from DigiKey are designed for various applications including non-contact reflective object sensing, assembly line automation, and machine safety. These sensors feature a compact side-looking package with an integral lens, providing enhanced optical coupling and mechanical protection. The series offers multiple output options, including TTL/LSTTL compatible logic levels, and supports data rates up to 250 kBaud, except for the OPL560 series which supports up to 200 kBaud. They operate over a supply voltage range of 4.5 V to 16 V and exhibit low power consumption. The devices are equipped with a photodiode, amplifier, voltage regulator, Schmitt trigger, and NPN output transistor on a single silicon chip, ensuring high noise immunity and stable performance across a wide range of irradiance levels. The OPL530, OPL531, OPL550, OPL551, OPL560, OPL561, OPL562, and OPL563 are specifically matched to OP140 and OP240 LEDs, while the OPL535 and OPL536 are matched to OP145 and OP245 series LEDs. The sensors are suitable for driving multiple TTL loads without additional circuitry, making them versatile for various engineering projects.
