The OP598B is an NPN silicon phototransistor in a TO-18 equivalent package with a 25° viewing angle, designed for non-contact sensing applications. It has a collector-emitter voltage rating of 30 V, an emitter-collector voltage rating of 5 V, a continuous collector current of 50 mA, and a power dissipation of 250 mW. The device operates over a temperature range of -40°C to +100°C and meets RoHS standards. Its on-state collector current under standard test conditions ranges from 5.0 to 10 mA, with a collector-dark current of no more than 100 nA at 10 V.
