Cast or extruded acetate cellulose sheet is well suited for applications requiring the best optical clarity and good rigidity. It does not become limp or distort under normal temperatures. The high impact resistance of acetate sheeting withstands crazing or cracking over a wide range of temperatures under normal stresses. Acetate sheeting is an excellent shield for grease and oils, yet it maintains good color and flexibility over long periods of time. Acetate is a standard in the graphic arts, display and printing industries. It also has several common industrial uses.
