Thermal Wire and Cable LLC 1204-2C16-EX-SS

Description
Thermal Wire and Cable offers a truly unique flexible, nonmetallic solid sheath thermocouple wire designed for extremely high-temperature applications. The cable is easy to bend and work with and is terminated with conventional tools. Designed to replace MI cable which is difficult to bend and manipulate and requires special tools and connectors which are costly. These cables are designed for a range of applications which include: replacement for beaded thermocouples, thermocouple for oven surveys, heat treating or forging, casting of steel or titanium, thermocouple for coke ovens, soaking pits where more flexibility is required compared to mineral insulated products (MI Cable). Designed for extreme temperature applications. Low elongation and shrinkage provides flexibility throughout extended temperature ranges. Excellent abrasion resistance when augmented with a nickel 200 or stainless steel braid. Minimal absorption resistance. Resistant to most industrial chemicals. This braided insulation material is further augmented with an optional nickel 200 braid shield to encapsulate the insulating system and greatly improve the abrasion resistance of the cable. Sizes range from 26 to 18. This cable will perform where all others fail. Stainless steel braid also available upon request. Available in optional twisted shielded pair. Per 3M procedure cable has to be brought to operating temperature prior to service voltage and electrification to flash off manufacturing aids in the processing of Nextel fibers and this greatly increase dielectric strength. Supplied white without saturants or colored tracers. Nickel over braid shield is standard as an armor, stainless steel is also available, please specify.
