The UCC5640PW24 is an active terminator designed specifically for low voltage differential (LVD) SCSI networks. It complies with SCSI SPI-2 Ultra2, SPI-3 Ultra3/Ultra160, and SPI-4 Ultra320 standards, enabling peak bus performance while minimizing system costs. The device operates within a voltage range of 2.7 V to 5.25 V and features a low channel capacitance of 1.5 pF, which reduces bus loading and allows for a greater number of connected peripherals. This terminator is available in a 24-pin TSSOP package, facilitating ease of layout in circuit designs. It is important to note that the UCC5640 is not suitable for single-ended (SE) or high voltage differential (HVD) systems. The device also includes differential failsafe biasing and has limited built-in ESD protection, requiring careful handling during storage and assembly.
