The UC2834QG3 is a linear regulator controller optimized for low input-output differential linear regulation. It supports both positive and negative regulator designs and features a high gain amplifier capable of driving up to 200mA, making it suitable for high output current applications with an external pass device. The device includes an adjustable low threshold current sense amplifier for current limiting and a fault monitoring circuit that detects under and over-voltage conditions, providing alerts with programmable delays. In the event of an over-voltage fault, a 100mA crowbar output is activated, and the over-voltage latch can maintain this output to shut down the driver outputs if necessary. The UC2834QG3 operates over a wide temperature range of -40¬8C to +85¬8C and is housed in a 20-pin PLCC package. It is designed to handle input supply voltages up to 40V and includes thermal shutdown protection to prevent excessive power dissipation.
