The TRC1315D is a remote control encoder/decoder that operates within the MARCSTAR family of devices, designed for high-volume applications such as automotive and home security systems. It can function as either an encoder or a decoder, allowing for flexible integration into various remote control systems. The device supports a supply voltage range of 2.7 V to 15 V, making it suitable for battery-operated applications. This product features four independent inputs and outputs, enabling control of up to 15 functions. It employs a 40-bit hopping security code, providing over one trillion unique combinations to enhance security. The TRC1315D is self-programming, eliminating the need for an external programming station, and can learn codes from up to four different encoders. Additionally, it includes an internal amplifier and comparator for low-level signal detection, a variable-frequency internal oscillator for data-rate adjustments, and operates over a temperature range of -40¬8C to 85¬8C. The device is available in both surface-mount and dual in-line packages, ensuring compatibility with various circuit designs.
