The TPS2042B is a dual, current-limited power-distribution switch designed for applications involving heavy capacitive loads and short circuits. It features a high-side N-channel MOSFET with a typical on-resistance of 70m,Ѷ and supports a continuous current of 500mA. The device operates within a voltage range of 2.7V to 5.5V and includes thermal and short-circuit protection mechanisms to ensure safe operation. The current limit is accurately set between 0.75A and 1.25A, with an automatic recovery from thermal shutdown.
