The TIOS101 series from Texas Instruments includes digital sensor output drivers designed for high reliability and functional safety applications. These devices operate within a supply voltage range of 7 V to 36 V and can be configured as high-side, low-side, or push-pull drivers. They feature a low residual voltage of 1.75 V at 250 mA and configurable current limits between 50 mA and 350 mA. The TIOS101 series is equipped with integrated surge protection, capable of withstanding transients of up to ¬±65 V for less than 100 ¬µs, and offers reverse polarity protection up to 60 V. Additionally, the devices provide integrated electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) protection, including ESD and electrical fast transient ratings. They are suitable for driving large capacitive loads and can demagnetize inductive loads up to 1.5 H. With a quiescent supply current of less than 2.2 mA, the TIOS101 series also includes options for integrated low-dropout (LDO) regulators, thermal protection, and fault indication features. The operating temperature range extends from -40¬8C to 125¬8C, making these devices suitable for a variety of industrial applications, including proximity switches and capacitive or inductive sensors. The compact 10-pin VSON package measures 2.5 mm x 3 mm, facilitating easy integration into space-constrained designs.
